CLOSE TO NATURE, NEAR PERFECT

If you have been to McCall before, you get it. It is all water, mountains and forest. If not, then we encourage you to try. Either way, we ask that you keep our hometown of McCall, our lake, our mountains and their treasures in your careful grasp, and participate in the justifiable balance we have struck with nature, tourists and locals. It is near perfect here, and we want to keep it that way. The Back Cabin is a piece of that near perfection.

WINTER HAVEN, GLORIOUS ADVENTURE

It is cold in the winter and it snows. It is hot in the summer and is glorious. The autumn is both. Spring comes late and is messy.

NOT SO EASY TO GET TO, BUT WE LIKE THAT

McCall, Idaho is 100 miles north of Boise, Idaho; 500 miles from Seattle; 475 miles from Salt Lake City; 1800 miles from Yellowknife; and 2595 miles from New York City. We are “centrally isolated” or just “damn far away,” whichever way you look at it. Our town has been discovered, much to our surprise. We try to live with that, and the long trip to get here. We think it is worth it.
